I haven’t been everywhere but it’s on my list.” I dig that quote and recently was asked what my favorite place I had visited yet was. Hands-down without hesitation, St. John, USVI. Its a US Territory where 60% of its land area is a national park and protected from building. Rockefeller himself fell in love with this island and donated his holdings as long as the island remain protected. How can you not love this story? There are maybe a couple hotels on the island but the way to visit is to rent a villa and live true island style. Every bay is an invitation to snorkel in a tropical aquarium.
